How to Create Contract Delegates

Safely grant third-party access to specific services.

Sometimes you need to give someone else (like a web developer, IT staff, or a marketing agency) access to a specific hosting package or service, without giving them full access to your billing details or entire account. You can do this using the Delegates feature.

What Delegates Can and Cannot Do

Delegates CAN:

  • Log in to manage the specific hosting account or domain you grant them access to.
  • Create and reply to support tickets regarding that specific product.
  • View the status and renewal dates of the product.

Delegates CANNOT:

  • Manage or view your billing, invoices, or payment methods.
  • Cancel or modify the contract product.
  • Add or remove other delegates.

Inviting a Delegate

  1. Log in to your Client Portal.
  2. Click Products & Services and select Subscriptions.
  3. Select the specific contract/product you want to share.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. Click the Invite delegate button.
  6. Enter the delegate's email address and click Send invite.

Note: The delegate will receive an email invitation. They will need to create a free store account (if they don't already have one) to accept and access the service.

Revoking Delegate Access

You are always in control and can remove access at any time.

  1. Go back to the specific contract under Products & Services.
  2. Click the Delegates menu tab.
  3. Find the delegate in the list, hover over the person icon, and click Revoke access.
