Our Story

From Hobby to Web Agency

Webbed began in 2017, when I started experimenting with my own websites just for fun. As I got more confident, I began offering hosting for a small fee and decided to create a sole trader business called Liverhost, named after the city I lived in at the time; Liverpool.

Things changed when I landed my first client, Unite the Union. With that, I rebranded to Host Hauk (spelled like it’s a German hawk) and continued growing. My second client, a non-profit organisation, introduced me to new opportunities through networking, helping me secure even more clients.

Fast forward to today, and while Webbed is still a one-man operation (with the occasional help of Gemma), I now host or manage 18 websites, many of which I’ve built from the ground up. As my services expanded beyond hosting to include web design, branding, and more, I’ve rebranded once again—this time to Webbed, a name that better reflects everything I do.

What started as a passion has grown into a trusted web agency, helping businesses and organisations establish their online presence with reliable hosting, modern design, and hands-on support.

My name is Simon and I do most of the work from speaking to clients at the start to building the websites and ensuring ongoing  1-1 support.
